    Well structured for the short time period to give maximum twitching experience to tick most of the Sri Lankan Endemic birds (excluding hill country endemics; if you interest about to see all the endemic please refer WQBT03 or WQBT06). This tour will cover two most famous low country rainforests the Sinharaja World Heritage Site and the Morapitiya Forest Reserve.

    ITINERARY

    Pickup from airport and travel to Sinharaja Rainforest, Kudawa (World Heritage site). Birding in Sinharaja rainforest for endemic bird during full day. Overnight stay at famous Martin’s Lodge.

    Full day bird watching in the Sinharaja rainforest for endemic birds. Night walks towards the village to observe nocturnal birds (Chestnut-backed Owlet, Serendib Scops Owl & Ceylon Frogmouth). Overnight stay at famous Martin’s Lodge.

    Early morning checkout 0500hrs, drive down to see more endemic in the buffer zone of the Sinharaja rain forest (there will be instances of starting around 0400hrs travel to Morapitiya Forest Reserve for another session of endemic bird watching to see the rarest). Late lunch in Colombo followed by souvenir shopping, birding in a serine location closer to the city if time prevails and drive to the airport to departure.
